Dead reunited, prolific Prince and Radiohead and Jay-Z collide

Happy New Year indeed for anyone who are fans of psychedelic icons, the Purple one and mix tapes.

First off, RollingStone.com reports that The Dead (a.k.a. The Grateful Dead minus Jerry Garcia) will reunite after five years to do a 19-date North American tour beginning April 12.

Are you anxious to hear a new Prince album? It was announced today that Prince will release three new independent albums in 2009, so get your funk on.

And finally, for fans of mash-up records, DJ Minty Fresh Beats threw together select tracks from cutting-edge rockers Radiohead and hip-hop heavyweight Jay-Z together in an downloadable mix tape called "Jaydiohead." Click here to hear the madness for yourself.
