Jam icon reunion, free Oasis and AC/DC in KC

If you are a fan of jam bands, Brit-pop or classic metal, get ready for good news.

First off, Phish have officially announced reuniting after a four year absence. Was it much of a surprise? Not really. Are there hippies scoobying with joy right now given this news? Definitely. The group will play the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Va., on March 6 through 8, 2009 with more dates to follow.

Oasis fans may be disappointed at the thought of Noel Gallagher having bruised ribs after being attacked on stage in Canada, but at least you can hear their new album "The Shock of the Lightning" on their MySpace page, www.myspace.com/oasis.

Finally, AC/DC are coming to Kansas City to perform on Jan. 21, 2009 at the Sprint Center. No word on tickets yet, but fans are surely thunderstruck.
