New look
After months of development, Facebook has begun to officially roll out the new version of their popular social network.
Some users began noticing the difference early this morning. I'm not sure how they are being rolled out or when everything will be completely changed over, but I'm sure they're working on it as fast as they can.
I, along with many other users, are not sure what to think of the new design yet. My first reaction was that it's a lot cleaner, but things have moved and that will take some getting to use to. And if Facebook's users are anything like the users of stjoenews.net, I'm pretty sure someone's inbox is full of complaints about the changes.
Here's a quick overview of some of the changes
- new menu bar at the top of the page
- new customizable tab menu bar on profile page
- tabs can be added or removed
- entire page is much wider
- you'll now be able to update most of your site from your profile page
